Mandatory Registration Guide (BMI & MLC)

Secure Your Royalties To stay in compliance with your Stephen Allen Music Group® license, all commercial releases must be properly registered. This ensures both the Artist and Producer receive their legal share of performance and mechanical royalties.

Step 1: Register with BMI (Performing Rights) When registering your song, add Stephen Allen Mackey as a songwriter/composer.

• Split: 50% Producer / 50% Artist

Step 2: Register with The MLC (Mechanical Rights) The MLC collects your digital streaming mechanicals. You must list the work and attribute the Producer's 50% share to ensure your distribution remains valid under your license terms.

Step 3: YouTube Whitelisting If you have a Custom or Exclusive license, please email your song link to StephenAllen@stephenallenmusic.com to ensure your channel is whitelisted for Content ID.
